π Would you sign my yearbook?
Cassandra Ridder took her son's yearbook and ran into the bedroom crying. Cody, 12-years old, had asked several people in his class for a very simple request: "Would you sign my yearbook?" And junior high kids, being the worst of mankind, lived up to their reputation when most of his classmates said "No." He was only able to a couple students and sympathetic teachers to sign.
The most heartbreaking of all was one signature in particular that read. "Hope you make some more friends.β
Brody wrote that to himself.

Out of desperation, Cassandra posted an image of the yearbook on Facebook. And it setoff a chain of events that would completely change their lives.
Other parents chimed in with support, and after a family told their high school son about it, Simone Lightfoot decided to do something.
He got his upper classmen friends together and they marched over to the middle school, found Brody in class, and asked him if they could sign his yearbook. And all those other kids that rejected him the first time, joined the line around the classroom of people now suddenly having a change of heart.

Since then, Brodyβs story has gone viral, with all sorts of celebrities sending him words of encouragement and gifts. He even got some facetime with a certain miniscule superhero as well, along with some Marvel memorabilia.
All because a high school senior decided to walk over to a junior high kid and ask to sign his yearbook.
Generosity doesn't always have to be extravagant or substantially sacrificial to be impactful.
